Experience

A 20-year health care veteran, Ed has served in senior sales management positions at some of the state's largest organizations.  Prior to joining McLaren Health Plan in 2006., he held positions with Priority Health, Physicians Health Plan (PHP), and Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan (BCBSM).  Ed's expertise is in leading sales teams responsible for new business, directly supervising major accounts such as the Haworth Corporation, Michigan State University and the State of Michigan.

As Vice President of Sales, Ed directs and leads all sales and marketing activities for McLaren Health Plan and its subsidiaries across Michigan.  He is charged with overseeing the health plan's overall strategic sales direction, development and execution of sales and marketing plans, the McLaren Health Plan sales team, agent sales and e-commerce initiatives.

McLaren Health Plan / Health Advantage currently serve more the 225,000 lives, offering a network of 9,000 providers, (12,000 through Health Advantage) and spanning 26 counties in its commercial service area.

McLaren Health Plan / Health Advantage product lines include:

  • Commercial health insurance for business HMO/POS/PPO/HDHP
  • Third Party Administrative Services (COBRA/Flexible Spending Accounts)
  • Medicaid / Government Programs
