Internal Medicine

Internal Medicine physicians are specially trained to diagnose and treat medical problems in adults. Acute and chronic illnesses are treated in hospital and in outpatient care settings. Commonly, an internist treats such conditions as heart disease, diabetes, cancer, depression, high blood pressure, stroke, arthritis and other common and uncommon medical problems. They also perform complete physical exams, gynecologic exams and routine follow-ups.
